Enjoy the water and keep smiling, remember we love this sport.

We felt great after the workout, could have kept going...which i a good thing.

Last weekend we did a spinning class, which was a disaster becasue we woke up late and didn't eat anything before the workout...not a good thing.

I have been doing a good bike set at the gym. 60 minutes on the bike at level 10, hills. I usually get in about 25 miles, not bad. Afterwards, i get right onto the treadmill and run for a mile. Need to get used to those transitions, that are so much fun.

tonight, is swimming...yiipppeeee!!

see ya around

Happy New Year!

hello all...

Lauren and I have been swimming pretty regularly now for about a month. We are going to do our first long swim this weekend, probably a 3 hour swim.

We have also been going to the gym and working on running and some biking. Also, back to lifting weights to work on our core strength. Which will be very important for us in the coming year.

The Liberty to Liberty Tri is in 5 months....May 28th, 2006

We are also going to be participating in the Swim Across the Sound again this year. Only we will be solo swimmers, swimming the entire 25K, Port Jeff, NY to Black Rock Harbor in Connecticut. For those of you not familiar with the Swim, it is a funraiser for cancer patients in Connecticut. Its a great cause. Check out the website: www.swimacrossthesound.org

I think we have something for starting in NY and ending up in another state!

Should be an exciting year...

Hope anyone who is reading this has a safe, happy and healthy new year

Back to Training..

Hello, to anyone out there who may actually be reading this.

Lauren and I have been on a break since the Swim Across the Sound in August. Our team finished at 13th place with a time of 7 hours. It was a great day for the swim. If you would like to find more info on it, the website is, www.swimacrossthesound.org

Next Monday the 7th, we start training again. We have found a new masters team to train with. The reason for this is because we no longer live together. We live closer to NYC now.

Thats about it for now...

See Ya

Here We Go

Well...Lauren and I are officially addicted to Tri's.

We did our first Olympic Distance Tri in June and fell in love.

We have decided to create this blog to track our progression to the ultimate challenge...and Ironman.
Our goal is 2010, the year that we both turn 30.

The next few "activities" on our calendar are:

August 13th- SWIM ACROSS THE SOUND
TEAM WETBRAIN (Lauren, Pete, Sasha and me)
www.swimacrossthesound.org

September- 1/2 marathon (tentative)

May 28th, 2006- LIBERTY TO LIBERTY (as in NYC to Philly)
1.3 Mile Swim
91 Mile Bike
10K Run

Finishing on the art museum steps ala "rocky"

thats it for now...
